Over the past two weeks I have been monitoring a flurry of activity on social media channels regarding the election in Iran, it really is interesting to see the activity and the positioning between different social media channels – the BBC coverage http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/8110441.stm is interesting to also the feedback seems to quite clearly define sentiment that the election was anything but fair – of course it was not fair – who the hell expected it to be fair? Obviously some of these people commenting on the BBC News forums - http://newsforums.bbc.co.uk/nol/thread.jspa?forumID=6596&edition=2&ttl=20090619234243 Coverage on the http://www.tehrantimes.com and on the http://www.iran-daily.com are conspicuously on the other hand completely devoid of any commenting capability from users – interesting one would have throught that with such a “fair election” that was so close called that there would be lots of interesting discussion between both sides of the fence – of course not – the election is a complete shambles and everyone knows it – what the hell did anyone think was going to happen?
